Boats that have lived in the sun and salt without regular protection often develop heavy oxidation – that chalky, faded look that doesn't wash off. This service is built to tackle that.
Correction process
- Thorough wash and surface prep
- Inspection and mapping of worst areas
- Multi-stage machine compounding to cut oxidation and chalkiness
- Refining polish to improve clarity and gloss
- Focus on hull sides and topside smooth gelcoat (non-skid handled separately)
Protection & follow-up
- Finishing protection with wax or sealant (based on package)
- Option to upgrade to Ceramic Coating Protection
- Care recommendations to help maintain restored gelcoat
- Suggested follow-up with Wash Plans & Maintenance
- Before/after photos available by request for resale listings
What to expect from gelcoat restoration
Oxidation Removal can dramatically improve a boat's appearance, but results depend on age, severity of oxidation, and previous repairs or paint.
In many cases we can bring back rich color and strong gloss. Extremely aged or thin gelcoat may not return to "brand-new" but will usually look significantly better and be protected going forward.
